Terms of service
Last updated 28 October 2026
These terms cover NatchPlay, the agent, the website at natchplay.com and the relays behind them (together "the service"), run by Natchland Studios ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't create an account.
Your account
- You need a working email address and you have to be at least 13.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including anything an agent you signed in does.
- One account per person.
The free relay
- Each account gets one free relay, in Europe or the US.
- It's for games we can check at the first packet that use little traffic. Today that's Minecraft Java and Rust, the games page lists them as they're added.
- It carries 50 GB of traffic a month. Once that's used it stops carrying players until the 1st of the next month.
- We may change which games are free, or the free allowance, with at least 14 days' notice by email.
The relay plan and paying
- The relay plan is £1.50 a month or £10 a year for each relay, for any game and in any region. Extra traffic is £1 a month or £10 a year a pack. Prices are in GBP and payments go through Stripe, we never see your full card details.
- Your plan renews on the card you paid with, monthly or yearly, until you cancel it. Everything on it is one subscription with one charge a period.
- We may change a price with at least 30 days' notice. A change never applies to a period you've already paid for.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your relays keep working until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't pro rate part months.
Traffic allowances
- Every relay has a monthly traffic allowance, shown on its page with what it's used so far. On the relay plan it's 1 TB in Europe and the US and lower in Australia and Singapore, where traffic costs us by the GB.
- We email you when a relay passes 80% of its allowance. Once it's used up the relay stops carrying players until the 1st, or until you add extra traffic.
- A month's traffic belongs to the relay, so it carries over if you move the relay to another region.
- We count how much traffic each relay carries. We don't look at what's in it.
Refunds
- If it doesn't work and we can't fix it, you get your money back. If something you paid for doesn't do what this site says, email studio@natchland.com from the address you signed up with and give us a fair chance to put it right. If we can't in a reasonable time, you get a full refund of that payment. That's your right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- The relay plan starts straight away at your request. Within 14 days of your first payment you can cancel and ask for a refund of the days you haven't used, worked out from the day you tell us. After 14 days monthly payments aren't refunded. On a yearly plan the rest of the year isn't refunded once you cancel.
- Bought the wrong thing or bought it twice? We fix mistakes rather than refunding them. A relay can move region, change game or have its plan changed. Email us and we'll sort it.
- Not covered: your own network, router or internet provider, a game or mod that doesn't work for reasons of its own, or something you didn't use.
- We may refund part of a period for an outage on our side, at our discretion.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within a few working days.
- None of this takes away a right you have under UK consumer law, or under your own country's law if you're buying from elsewhere.
What the relays can't be used for
NatchPlay relays carry game servers. You can't use them to:
- Carry anything illegal, or anything that breaks a game's own licence or terms.
- Send mail or run remote desktop, those ports are blocked on every plan.
- Attack anyone, or flood or probe the relays or anyone else through them.
- Get round billing, the free relay limit or the traffic allowances, for example with several accounts.
- Resell relays or offer them under your own brand without a written agreement with us. Companies are welcome to run their own servers on the normal plans.
Breaking these can get a relay stopped or an account closed without a refund.
Your players and your server
- The agent runs on a machine you control. You're responsible for that machine, its connection and whatever server you run on it.
- Players connect to the relay, so they never see your home address through it. Your server can see each player's real address so bans and limits work, always on a relay address and on a tunnel when the server reads PROXY protocol. That's how a server you rent works too.
- A relay address on Windows uses the VPN client built into Windows. It only carries your game server's traffic, the rest of your PC's traffic stays on your own connection.
Chargebacks
- If you think you're owed money, email us before you go to your bank. We answer every refund request.
- A chargeback stops the relays and plan tied to that payment straight away. We may contest it with our billing records and the relay's traffic records.
Closing accounts
- We may stop relays or close accounts that break these terms. We look at what happened first, except for active abuse or a chargeback.
- You can ask us to delete your account at studio@natchland.com. It's removed within 30 days, along with its relays.
Uptime
- We aim to keep the relays up all the time but don't promise a set uptime. Planned maintenance is announced ahead where we can.
- We're not liable for losses caused by the relays being down.
Limits on what we're liable for
- The service is provided as it is, without a warranty of any kind.
- As far as the law allows, what we're liable for is limited to what you paid us in the 30 days before whatever the claim is about.
Changes to these terms
We'll email you at least 14 days before a change to these terms takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
The law that applies
These terms are under the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute about them.
